S&P Global Ratings confirms NRe’s credit rating 2025
On July 30, 2025, the rating agency S&P Global Ratings published its report confirming Nacional de Reaseguros’ rating at “A”, with a “stable” perspective.
In the process of developing this rating, the agency maintains the main structural factors of strength that underpin its rating: the company’s leading position in the Spanish reinsurance market, its solid capitalisation in accordance with its capital model, its ability to generate profits in the future and the absence of financial debt.
Am Best confirms the Nacional Re rating: “A” 2025
The agency bases this rating on the strength of the company´s balance sheet, which it values as “strong”, as well as the strong operating result, neutral business profile and adequate risk management.
It also highlights that the National’s risk –adjusted capitalization, according to its quantitative model, remains at the strongest level, thanks to internal generation of benefits and a prudent reserve policy.

Held on May 13th, under the chairmanship of Mr. José María Sunyer, Nacional Re approved the annual accounts for the 2024 financial year, together with the Management Report.
